Hello,
I have installed WinFIG 4.62 and GhostScript 8.71. From reading this forum I know that WinFIG checks
the registry, but that seems ok. I have the following registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GPL Ghostscript\8.71\GS_DLL C:\Program Files\gs\gs8.71\bin\gsdll32.dll
Exporting to PDF does not work, and if I click the 'about' menu entry in WinFIG I get the message that the
GhostScript binary was not found.
Any tipps?
Thank you.

Hello,
perhaps you have some old registry keys left from an obsolete GS installation. It could be for instance
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AFPL Ghostscript
But recently another user had a simlar problem where the registry was obviously ok. For such cases the next release will allow users to specify their GS location in the settings dialogue.
Until then you can still export to PostScript and use GhostScript to convert to PDF. That's actually what WinFIG is doing. If you use GSView as a front end, it's very easy.
btw, it's always helpful for me to know the system environment (XP, Vista, Win7 etc.)

I have checked and I didn't find any 'AFPL Ghostscript' key. I'm running Windows 7 professional 64bit (german).
I can live with the manual solution at the moment. Thank you for your help.
