Bug Reports / Bitmap export creates empty files

I posted this in the General forum (in reply to another user's post), but just realized it's probably more appropriate here.
I'm having trouble exporting bitmaps from WinFIG. I'm using WinFIG 4.4 and GhostScript 8.64 (both 32 bit), and fig2dev.exe is in the same folder as WinFIG. If I export to a PNG file and save it in the folder that contains WinFIG and fig2dev, it works correctly. But if I try to save the exported file anywhere else, I get an empty file. Help!!
